Proteomics focus on the study of proteins from an organism, tissue, cell, or biofluid. Use of this approach in bioanthropology has been limited, but recent research highlights significant potential in determining sex from tooth enamel in past remains. The workshop will focus on the background and technical approaches to the removal and analysis of peptides in human tooth enamel for sex determination. The workshop is intended for students and professionals of all levels. There is no charge to attend the workshop for Dental Anthropology Association members.
